We Never Needed Papers to Thrive: Writing Workshop

In honor of Latinx Heritage Month and as a part of Welcome Week for Immigrants and Refugees, Latinx Unidos del South Sound a program of PCAF Presents "We Never Needed Papers to Thrive," a writing workshop at King's Books. A poignant and insightful workshop aimed at looking at ways in which immigrants can be masters of their own narratives. This creative writing workshop aims to explore stories of resilience. (Please RSVP as there is a capacity of 30 people for the workshop)

This workshop is one of a two-part event that also includes an evening lecture entitled  "#Undocujoy + Self-empowerment: An Evening with Latinx Poet Yosimar Reyes" at Tacoma Arts Community Center. The lecture is aimed at challenging mainstream ideas about undocumented people and their experiences through art and poetry.

Both are FREE and INCLUSIVE events open to all in the community.
