Kristin Halbrook is an author of Young Adult fiction, known for her novel Nobody But Us. Born in California, she moved to the Pacific Northwest as a child. She attended UW - Seattle, studying English literature and Women's studies as an undergraduate and Secondary Education in graduate school. Halbrook has worked with Title 1 students from elementary to high school ages teaching writing and nutrition education, both as a tutor and as a freelance writer. She co-founded young adult reading and writing website YA Highway. Halbrook currently resides in Seattle with her husband and three children. She enjoys playing sports, travel, food culture, and music events.
A.R. Kahler is many things, but first and foremost he's a Sagittarius. In the past few years he has taught circus in Amsterdam and Madrid, gotten madly lost in the Scottish wilderness, drummed with Norse shamans, and received his Masters in creative writing from Glasgow University. And that's the abbreviated list. He is the author of many things, including The Immortal Circus, The Pale Queen, The Hunted, and Ravenborn (yes, all series, because his brain doesn't condense). When he's not writing or climbing the rafters, he's probably outside, staring at clouds. And seeing as he now resides in Seattle, there are clouds aplenty.
Mindi Scott lives near Seattle with her drummer husband in a house with a non-sound-proof basement. Her novels include Freefall (2010), Live Through This (2012), a chapter in Violent Ends (a collaborative novel written by 17 young adult authors in 2015), and co-wrote The Way Back to You with Michelle Andreani (2016).
Carly Anne West is also the author of The Bargaining. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where she melted more than a few pair of shoes on the summer asphalt and swallowed buckets of chlorinated water over the course of several years of swimming. After graduating with a BA from Arizona State University (fork ‘em, Devils!), she moved to Nashville, Tennessee with her long time love and best friend Matt, then relocated again three years later to Oakland, California where she earned my Masters of Fine Arts in English & Creative Writing from Mills College. In 2012, Matt and I (along with our new, awesome baby boy) relocated to Seattle. I now write amid the luxurious rain and evergreens.
