Radical Reading Circle: Viva la Raza

01/06/2020 - 7:00pm

The Freedom Socialist Party - Seattle/Puget Sound branch hosts a weekly Radical Reading Circle as they discuss Viva la Raza: A History of Chicano Identity and Resistance by Yolanda Alaniz and Megan Cornish. This book tells the dramatic story of the national Chicano movement of the 1960s and '70s and analyzes the burning questions of Chicano/Latinx identity.  Discover a wealth of little-known information about campus, farmworker, and Latinx organizing from Yakima Valley to the University of Washington. We meet every Monday through February.
