Mike Purdy Author Event

08/08/2019 - 6:30pm

Join us as we welcome Mike Purdy, author of 101 Presidential Insults: What They Really Thought About Each Other - and What It Means to Us. The book peeks behind the political curtain—exposing that our presidents have dished out acerbic insults about other presidents, from the founding fathers to the age of Trump. Our sordid history challenges us and our leaders to rise to "the better angels of our nature" and reject the acidic politics of personal demonization. The event will be a talk by the author, followed by a disussion by Talking Politics (Civilly) in Trump's America, a book club open to all.

Mike Purdy is a presidential historian and author. He is the founder of the website PresidentialHistory that includes his award-winning presidential history blog.
