A Conversation with Ijeoma Oluo

03/31/2018 - 1:00pm

As part of Pierce County READS, we welcome Seattle native and New York Times bestselling author Ijeoma Oluo to discuss about her book So You Want to Talk about Race. The book explores the complex reality of today's racial landscape--from white privilege and police brutality to systemic discrimination and the Black Lives Matter movement - offering straightforward clarity that readers need to contribute to the dismantling of the racial divide. Tickets to the event are FREE, but are required to attend.

Ijeoma Oluo is a writer and speaker whose work on race has been featured in The Guardian, New York Magazine, xoJane, Jezebel, and more. She is also an editor-at-large at The Establishment, and Seattle Magazine named her "one of the most influential people" in Seattle.
