The Library That Dolly Built: Film Showing

04/02/2020 - 7:00pm

Join us for a special one-day theatrical event! We're partnering with our friends at The Grand Cinema to show The Library That Dolly Built, the feature-length documentary about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!  Imagination Library is America's largest non-governmental children's literacy program, founded by Dolly herself. They ship free books to children from birth to age five in partciipating communities, so far having mailed a total of almost 134 million books!

The documentary is showing nationwide one-day only, on April 2! It features Dolly's music and is narrated by actress and author Danica McKeller. It is directed and edited by professors and students at University of Tennessee. The showing just happens to coincide with King's Books 20th Anniversary (April 1)! We love Dolly and love books, so. There is only one showing, so get your ticket quick!
