Join us as we celebrate the release of Chandler O'Leary's (of Dead Feminists fame) new book The Best Coast: A Road Trip Atlas: Illustrated Adventures Along the West Coast's Historic Highways. This quirky, illustrated travel guide and atlas follows historic routes up and down the West Coast. From San Diego all the way up to the Olympic Peninsula, you'll find off-the-beaten-path adventures up and down the coast as you follow historic highways, with side trips, and in-depth city guides. Chock-full of unusual facts, hidden history, roadside attractions, and Americana, this offbeat road trip through California, Oregon, and Washington tells a story of the diversity and depth that created the West Coast we know and love today, showcasing both the ever-changing present and vestiges of the past for those who slow down to look.
Do you have photos of your own Best Coast road trip? There is a contest! Post your photos across social media using #bestcoastchandler and tagging @sasquatchbooks. Vintage photos of roadside attractions and old signage (especially those no longer there), cheesy family photos, and artsy pics showing natural beauty all qualify. Contest runs until April 9 (the book's release date). Winners will be contacted and receive a prize pack with a signed book and a selection of Chandler's artwork. See full rules here.
