Distinguished Writer Series with Jim Teeters

This monthly event features a Distinguished Writer followed by an Open Mic for all poets, sign-up is at 6:45 pm. This month features poet Jim Teeters, author of two how-to-teach books: Teach with Style and Going Intergenerational. His poetry collections include: Being, Doing, Loving (2002), If I Should Wake before I Die (2006), Morning Wings (2008), Don’t Turn Away (2011), and Reservations (2012). He taught English through poetry in China and has published articles in the China Daily News. Jim is a member of Striped Water Poets and lives in Kent with his wife, Rebecca.bAdmission is free. The event occurs monthly the second Friday of every month at King's Books. Sponsored by the Puget Sound Poetry Connection and the Tacoma Arts Commission.
