Join us for a reading with Tacoma poet Kevin Miller and Port Angeles poet Alice Derry. We'll celebrate the release of Derry's new book Tremolo.
Kevin Miller worked in the public schools of Washington State for over thirty-six years. Miller taught in public schools in Blaine, Gig Harbor, and Olympia, Washington. In 1990-91 he was a Fulbright Exchange teacher at Grenå Handelsskole, Grenå, Denmark. His latest work is Home & Away: The Old Town Poems.
Alice Derry has published six books of poetry, including her most recent book Tremolo. Strangers to Their Courage was a finalist for the Washington Book Award in 2002. Derry recently retired after thirty-seven years of teaching writing and literature at Peninsula College. For more than a quarter century, she co-directed the Foothills Writers Series, hosting about fifteen readings a year.
